At this year’s upfronts Fox gave audiences their first look at their new sci- drama Minority Report, a series based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg film starring Tom Cruise. The world Minority Report explored in is perfect for a 4-5 season series about precrime and how humanity deals with criminality. It’s also another way to show off futuristic tech and cars. It’s going to be hard for them to top the eyeball scene from the movie, but I’m hoping they give it a shot.

Here’s the synopsis for the series:

10 years after the end of Precrime in DC, one of the three Precogs struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions the future, when he meets a detective haunted by her past, who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.

Sounds like fun. The series stars Megan Good, Stark Sands, Wilmer Valderama, Daniel London, Laura Regan, Li Jun Li, and Zhane Hall.
