Trailer: London Has Fallen

The follow up to 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen takes Mike Banning’s heroism to our brothers and sisters across the pond.

Gerard Butler is back as Mike Banning along with Morgan Freeman as Speaker Trumbull, and Aaron Eckhart as President Benjamin Asher. London Has Fallen also stars Charlotte Riley, Melissa Leo, Anglea Bassett, Jackie Earle Haley, and Robert Foster. Check out the plot synopsis:

The story picks up in London, where the British Prime Minister has died under mysterious circumstances and his funeral is a must-attend event for leaders of the Western world. What starts out as the most protected event on Earth turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States of America Benjamin Asher  his formidable Secret Service lead agent Mike Banning , and a British MI6 agent who rightly trusts no one

Olympus director Antoine Fuqua is replaced with Babak Najafi (Banshee). Although Najafi doesn’t have a lot previous work, Banshee quietly has some of the best action sequences on television. With a bigger budget and bigger stars, Najafi could bring some of that insane explosiveness to the big screen.

Check out the teaser trailer below. I expect to see a lot more action once the full trailer is released.
