Director Danny Boyle (127 Hours, Sunshine), writer Aaron Sorkin, and Michael Fassbender bring you the second Steve Jobs biopic in recent years – Steve Jobs. For the record, the Ashton Kutcher lead Jobs film wasn’t any fault of Kutcher. The problem was the film missed the mark on what made Steve Jobs one of the most iconic figures in history.
Here’s the plot synopsis for the film:
A dramatized account of events surrounding the Apple co-founder’s launch of a number of iconic products, beginning with the iMac in 1998.
It looks like this film is going to focus on the big product launches Jobs had a hand in. The trailer looks intense and they’re not shying away from Jobs paternal shortcomings. I jokingly called this movie “Magneto vs The Nerds”, but I am looking forward to seeing how well Michael Fassbender portrays Steve Jobs. The star studded cast also includes Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, Sarah Snook, Jeff Daniels, and Adam Shapiro.
Jobs opens October 9th 2015.
