Insurgent, the sequel to 2014’s Divergent, is the 2nd in a trio of books about a young woman named Tris in a post-apocalyptic Chicago.

Divergent got lukewarm reviews from critics but the $288 million (worldwide) at the box office meant we were in for a sequel. It’s the sequel nobody wanted but everybody knew we were going to get.

From the looks of this trailer, Tris has gone from a shy girl to Neo from The Matrix. How does this even happen? I need to see how she makes this transition.

Shailene Woodley returns as Tris alongside her Divergent buddies Theo James, Miles Teller, Naomi “Only in Flashbacks” Watts, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz. One new face is Octavia Spencer who will be joining the Insurgent cast as Johanna.
