A lot of trailers released this week.  Among them was our first look at Adam Sandler’s new comedy Pixels. The film is about aliens attacking earth using video game characters from the 80’s. The film looks like a lot of nostalgia and a lot of fun. I wonder who the big boss is going to be? King Koopa? Tron? I’m really hoping to get appearances from Contra and Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.

Good Kill looks pretty intense. With the success of American Sniper last year, I’m sure this movie is going to get a ton of attention. Ethan Hawke plays a drone pilot who’s having a problem adjusting with killing people in Afghanistan and going home to his family immediately after. It’s an interesting look at PTSD in the drone age. I heard Baratunde Thurston speak about this issues on a podcast a few years ago and the thought never crossed my mind that drone pilots would have a different variation of PTSD. This movie will give people tons to talk about. Good Kill also stars January Jones, Zoe Kravitz, and Bruce Greenwood.

Avengers Age of Ultron dropped a 0:31 TV spot that had the entire internet doing back flips. There’s not much more other than “HURRY UP ALREADY MAY 1ST”. I really enjoyed the Thor and Captain America’s exchange with the shield and Mjolnir. We still haven’t seen any footage of Vision in action. Age of Ultron is going to be a lot of fun.
